Since the year 1999 there have been several types of work at home opportunities to hit the internet. Some of them good and some bad. Since I was around in those days and working hard at building a long lasting income, I can honestly tell you what programs worked, which didn`t, and what is working now, (most importantly).

The first types of programs we will mention are referral programs, there were many types of referral programs when the internet was new. You made money every time you referred someone into a program as long as that person did certain tasks. These programs worked but paid out very little to the average person.

These referral programs included get paid to read email programs, get paid to surf programs, get paid to view websites, etc… None of these programs made anyone any serious money.

Since the beginning of the internet one way that has worked well for home based work at home workers is getting hired to do specific jobs like building websites, or creating logos, and stuff like that.

People who had web designer skills were in high demand back then, and they still are today. Web designers can earn a very good salary and work from home too. Web designers that earn good salaries usually work with sites like Guru, or Elance to find work.

Affiliate programs were one of the biggest money makers to come along. You put up links on the internet that are embedded with your affiliate id and if a sale occurs you earn a commission.

These affiliate programs made millions for a lot of people. For some they made thousands, but all in all they made money. People used Google AdWords to promote affiliate products, and they also used Yahoo Search Marketing.

If you are new in the work at home industry. I recommend you look into several types of ways to earn money working from home. First you must decide though, do you want a fixed salary, or do you want to earn commissions. Commissions are by far the most profitable way to go if you know what you`re doing.

Some products pay upwards of 75% commissions. There are millions of things you can sell on the internet. You just need traffic. The good thing is, is that there are traffic sources all over the internet, you just need to plug into them.

If you want to get paid by commission, I suggest you look at sites like ClickBank or Commission Junction. They offer affiliate programs you can join and make money with.

Of all the different ways to make money working at home, list building is among the best. You sign up with an autoresponder company and then you collect subscribers and then you write to your subscribers about stuff they are interested in, and you also offer them your affiliate products.

And lastly a very popular and profitable way to earn money working from home is by creating software, if you don`t know how to, you can even hire someone on Freelance sites to do it for you. Selling software is hot on the internet.

Ebay is also another big factor and of all the different types of ways to earn money working from home this is a very popular one, because it can work for just about anyone.

So to resume, the best ways to work from home are by using affiliate programs, list building with autoresponders, freelancing, (building websites or logos), and also creating software and selling that software. eBay is also very good.

Are you on a tight budget? Your not alone with the recent economic crunch today. Many people are now searching online to locate no cost work at home jobs. As you may know, there are millions of work from home opportunities, but many no fee work at home jobs that are listed such as data entry jobs, stuffing envelopes and other telecommuting jobs are simply a waste of your time and effort.

This article will give you three no cost work at home jobs that actually will pay you for your efforts, and could help you get that extra money needed in your pocket which you could scale up later if you desired to do so.

Paid Surveys-A Simple Way To Make Some Extra Cash

There are loads of free paid survey opportunities on the web. The main thing to look for is one with a solid track record of actually paying, as this method has gotten a lot of bad publicity recently. The one company that I have personally used and has been around for many years is surveyscout.com. They save you the headache of finding offers to complete, and they always pay on time.

Using this service you simply pick the survey that you are interested in, and you will be compensated for it. Of course you will see many others offering surveys, be careful as most just take a fee, then actually give you very little assistance. So use some common sense here, as with everything if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is. Sadly there are scams that will take your money and run. Stick with the site mentioned above, and you will be safe.

Freelancing For Extra Income

This is probably one of the better ways for many to generate some cash flow online. If you have experience as a programmer, website designer, or possibly data entry places like elance.com and odesk.com will let you list your services, and you will discover thousands of opportunities to work from home. People are looking daily for help in these areas and many more, so you can do well with this.

Creating And Writing Content

Do you enjoy writing? If so, this is for you! When I started searching for no cost work at home jobs a few years ago, I discovered a site called associatedcontent.com. The cool thing about this site is you can submit everything from a favorite recipe to neat hobbies you may enjoy doing. You can earn anywhere from $2 to $15 based on the quality and length of your articles.

The main important step now is taking action. As we all know, without action there is no reaction. Think about what skills you have and you will find no cost work at home jobs ready for you to pursue.

Mums are renowned to be great multi-taskers. Work at home mums are incontestably one among the categories of women who need this talent at a necessity level. I’ve written quite a few times about schedules and separating ‘work time’ and ‘mum time’. Nevertheless, it’s sometimes impossible to divide those roles, and while running most of my days around multi-tasking,

I’ve recently realised that I scarcely give myself fully to one assignment at any particular moment. Though my body, behaviours and thoughts are busy doing something, my mind is typically thinking about a few other things simultaneously. After realising this, I have reached the conclusion that the solution revolves around one easy conscious effort I could make to apply a better focus and productivity to any task at hand: Awareness.

As stay-at-home mum with a home business, my most significant task is taking care of my children. However, with a rising home-based business requiring a lot of thinking and planning, I found that I’d often be sharing my focus between my kids and my home business, at the same time. Thus I introduced this new exercise when starting an activity with my kids. I told myself: ‘I will devote my total self to the present activity with my children’. I would not allow for business-related thoughts, checking emails, or even putting a load of washing on.

From the very first time I tried this easy commitment declaration, I realised how much more attentive and satisfied I felt while spending quality time with my children. It meant I fully lived the moment, noticed the small things that make a mother’s heart fill with bliss and pride, gave more love and positive interaction to my children, and totally indulged in the primary reason why, like many work at home mums, I chose a home-based business – looking after my kids. It additionally meant that I got more alert to all the mental interruptions coming through, so that I could resolutely shut them down and re-focus.

Once applying this principle to my position as a mum, I did it for my home-based business. However, for work at home mums, it’s impossible to say ‘I will dedicate my total self to this business-related activity’ while your kids are running around and under your care. It’s indeed a heap easier to close up your work for your children than turn off your kids for your work! Therefore do not fully commit to a work activity unless you are certain that your children won’t need your care; this will only result in frustration if you’re interrupted. I specified my commitment statement for my business even further, in committing to one task at any given time (e.g. ‘I will apply my entire attention to developing my marketing campaign’). This easy commitment will increase my focus and in turns my productivity, and provides me the head space I require for solving problems and creative thinking!

Adding an easy commitment statement before beginning an activity with my kids or for my home-based business has definitely made a huge difference in my productivity and focus. For work at home mums, it’s about focusing your awareness to the specific activity you have committed to. Less multi-tasking, physically and intellectually. Higher productivity for my business and home duties? Yes. More love and inspiration for my children and from them as well? Definitely! More rewards as a mum and business owner? Absolutely!
